The Dandy Warhols – “Catcher In The Rye” (Stereogum Premiere)

Erich Bouccan

Glamorous Portland psych-rock veterans the Dandy Warhols — the group I’ve come to think of as America’s greatest Britpop band — are coming back next month with Distortland, their first album in a few years. We’ve posted the early tracks “You Are Killing Me” and “STYGGO,” and now we get to hear a third: The sunny, chugging, literary-referencing “Catcher In The Rye.” It has all the understated, tuneful swagger that you would hope to hear from a new Dandy Warhols song in 2016, and you can hear it below.

Distortland is out 4/8 on Dine Alone.
