Andy Stott – “Selfish”

Andy Stott – “Selfish”

Butterflies,” the first single from Manchester producer Andy Stott’s forthcoming LP Too Many Voices, fell on the prettier side of his oeuvre — a woozy, late-night haze that managed to sound something like an actual electro-R&B song. “Selfish,” on the other hand, showcases his harsher, more experimental tendencies, crafting a beat out of thudding metallic percussion and what sounds like gunshots while fragments of synth and Alison Skidmore’s vocals flit in and out like ghosts. Listen.
