Boston underground hero Wes Kaplan is back with new music from the Craters after several silent years. Next week, the Craters will release Kids Can Tell, an EP of four new experimental lo-fi pop tracks self-recorded by Kaplan in his apartment. The songs take influence from the sounds of late ’60s Beach Boys as well as early My Bloody Valentine, with vocal harmonies and reverb guitars taking control throughout the EP’s 12-minute duration. While a live band is still forming, the Craters will perform a record release show on 7/18 at Out of The Blue Too Gallery in Cambridge, MA with Alex Calder and Freak Heatwaves, with more dates to come. Check out the Kids Can Tell in full below.

Kids Can Tell is out 6/17 on Designer Medium Records. Pre-order it here.
