It’s been a big year for the members of Wolf Parade; their return from hiatus coincided with both Dan Boeckner and Spencer Krug releasing new albums from their respective side projects, Operators and Moonface. The former’s synth-rock debut LP Blue Wave came out back in April, while the latter’s My Best Human Face, a second collaboration with Finnish krautrockers Siinai, arrived just a few weeks ago. And although Wolf Parade is currently in the midst of a summer tour, Moonface and Siinai just put out a new video for My Best Human Face’s lead single “Risto’s Riff.” The clip features an arachnid camera, an insect light bulb, and a myriad of other unidentifiable objects coming to life and making art, resulting in a truly breathtaking combination of color, motion, and creatures.
