A few times over the years — most recently on the 2016 track “RPG” — James Blake has worked with the UK grime MC Trim. And now Blake’s 1-800 DINOSAUR label has announced the impending release of its first proper album, which will also serve as Trim’s full-length debut. 1-800 DINOSAUR Present Trim is coming next month, and the label has just shared its first single, the foggy, Happa-produced “Before I Lied.” Trim has also shared another track, the skittering “Man Like Me,” and both tracks show that the erratic energy of grime can work for a cooler, more composed MC.
