The Lemon Twigs – “These Words”

New 4AD-signees the Lemon Twigs, a duo composed of Long Island brothers Brian and Michael D’Addario, recently released their debut single for the label, “As Long As We’re Together,” a confidently bruised lo-fi ballad and promising introduction for the retro-leaning youngsters (neither member is over the age of 20). Today they’ve revealed a follow-up, “These Words,” which will feature alongside “As Long As We’re Together” on their still-unannounced upcoming LP. Both songs were produced by Jonathon Rado of Foxygen, a band that shares a similar penchant for dusting off the sounds of the late ’60s. “These Words” has a rollicking spirit and delightfully nostalgic saloon-swing, with hints of the Kinks and the 5th Dimension. Listen below.

The band has yet to announce their upcoming debut LP, but details are expected soon.
