Sex Stains is the new punk group fronted by Bratmobile’s Allison Wolfe. Last month, we heard the great lead single “Don’t Hate Me Cuz I’m Beautiful” from the band’s forthcoming self-titled debut, and today they’re sharing another bouncy and barbed number called “Land Of La LA,” and this one’s a tribute to the group’s home base. “It feels like our theme song,” Wolfe told Paper. “I am endlessly fascinated by this sprawling disconnected grouping of neighborhoods immersed in sunshine and traffic that is Los Angeles. My ‘Land of La LA’ lyrics are about the illusions, hopes, disappointments, loneliness, flakiness, triumphs and struggles of moving and living here.” Listen below.
