S U R V I V E – “Wardenclyff”

The best thing I’ve watched on TV all summer is easily the Netflix retro-sci-fi show Stranger Things, and the best thing about Stranger Things might be the tingling, eerie synth score from Kyle Dixon and Michael Stein. Dixon and Stein both play in the Austin synth group S U R V I V E, and they’re getting ready to release their own new album RR7349 next month. They’ve just shared the dark, brooding instrumental “Wardenclyffe,” which basically sounds like the Stranger Things score as rendered by a full band, with drums and everything. It’s awesome. Listen to it below, via Gorilla Vs. Bear.

RR7349 is out 9/30 on Relapse.
