Travis Stewart, the mutant dance music producer who records as Machinedrum, has already put in some work with Dawn Richard, the mutant R&B singer who records as D?WN; he produced her great single “Wake Up.” And now that Machinedrum is getting ready to release his new LP Human Energy, he’s teamed up with D?WN for a new track called “Do It 4 U.” It’s an abstract skitter of a song, one that nods toward various different strains of pop music even as it dances through the static.
