The Fray Given Retroactive Writing Credit On Chainsmokers & Halsey Hit

Songwriting credits are much easier to come by in this brave new post-“Blurred Lines” lawsuit world. The AP reports that the Fray’s Isaac Slade and Joe King are now listed as co-writers on this summer’s Chainsmokers/Halsey hit “Closer,” presumably because it sounds kind of like their 2005 song “Over My Head (Cable Car).” Compare the two tracks below.
