Zayn Malik is teaming up with Law & Order creator Dick Wolf to serve as an executive producer on Boys, an upcoming NBC drama series about the “the formation of a hugely successful boy band,” as Deadline reports. Obviously, Mailk is something of an expert on the subject after being in One Direction and leaving to launch his questionable solo career. “Dick Wolf is a legend, and the opportunity to work with him and NBC to create a compelling drama series is awesome.” Malik said in a very-canned statement. As of right now, there’s no timeline for the series to make it on air, or even a guarantee that it will, but with Wolf and Malik behind-the-scenes, chances are that it has a good shot.
