From Indian Lakes is the project of California native Joey Vannucchi. He’s set to drop his fourth full-length album and followup to 2014’s Absent Sounds called Everything Feels Better Now in two weeks. We’ve already heard “The Monster“, and today Vannucchi shares “Blank Tapes,” a shimmering jam with ringing guitar rising over intricate rolling drums, and deep, sparse bass. He situates his voice in a gauzy nest that flirts falsetto as the instrumentation swells underneath him for a continually engaging excursion. Listen.
