Tame Impala’s Kevin Parker Reunites With Old Band Mink Mussel Creek

Before leading Tame Impala, Kevin Parker played in the Australian psych-rock band Mink Mussel Creek. The group also featured former Tame Impala bassist and current Pond frontman Nicholas Allbrook, as well as Pond’s Shiny Joe Ryan. The band never officially broke up, and they released one album, the Parker-produced Mink Mussel Manticore. And now it looks like they’re back together, at least temporarily. Parker recently posted a photo of himself practicing with the band, and Pitchfork reports that they’re planning on playing a one-off reunion show soon. Here’s that photo:

Of course, if you can’t afford a flight to Australia and you really want to watch Kevin Parker play drums, there’s always that new Lady Gaga video.
