Neil Young and Paul McCartney headlined the second night of the Desert Trip classic-rock wet dream festival in Indio, California last night. Midway through McCartney’s closing set, he brought Young back up to the stage to perform the Beatles’ “A Day In The Life,” which the two legends had performed together before and which eventually morphed into a cover of John Lennon’s “Give Peace A Chance.” Again assisted by Young, McCartney then played “Why Don’t We Do It In The Road” live for the first time ever, and for the encore, he performed “I Wanna Be Your Man” for the first time in 23 years.
