Stephen Morris Announces Latest New Order Memoir

In recent years, both Bernard Sumner, the frontman of New Order, and Peter Hook, the estranged former bassist, have written memoirs about their time with the band. And soon, they’ll be joined by Stephen Morris, the band’s longtime drummer, who also played with both of them in Joy Division. NME reports that Morris has signed on with the Little, Brown imprint Constable to publish the memoir, and that it’ll be out in 2018. Here’s what he has to say about it:

After dropping pretty big hints over the past few years that I was writing about my recollections of nearly four decades living a fantastic and, at times traumatic, life creating music in Joy Division and New Order, I am delighted that Little, Brown has given my writing a home. I am really excited to be working with Andreas Campomar, whose enthusiasm for developing something more than a straight rock memoir is inspiring.
