Jim James announced his latest solo album Eternally Even in the middle of last month and now he’s steady on the promo path. He’s already shared the first single “Same Old Lie” and given it a visual accompaniment. And today he continues with his political mission on “Here In Spirit.” James soulfully sings over a classic syncopated drum pattern, whiny sustained synths, and glittering piano on the hook “If you don’t speak out/ We can’t hear it,” paralleling the sentiment going around that if you don’t vote in this upcoming election it is truly a wasted vote like it hasn’t been before.
