The Brooklyn rapper Joey Bada$$ has been sounding less and less like an intentional throwback as he matures, and on the new track “Front & Center,” he actually basically sounds like a kid his own age. Cookin Soul produced the track, which samples the theme music from the Netflix show Narcos, and features Bada$$ doing a whole lot of sex-rap punchlines that involve him speaking broken Spanish. It’s a goofy idea, but he has the charisma to pull it off. Check it out below.
