Splashh – “Rings”

Lucien Smith

Sasha Carlson and Toto Vivian started making music together as teenagers in Australia, officially formed their band Splashh after moving to London, and wrote much of debut album during a temporary move to New York. Now that album, titled Waiting A Lifetime, is set for release on Sony subsidiary Cinematic Music Group, which makes them labelmates with a bunch of rappers (Joey Bada$$, Mick Jenkins, and G Herbo among them) plus fellow retro-minded pop-rockers Public Access T.V. Splashh previews the LP today with “Rings,” a wonderful multi-segmented track that reminds me of the Unicorns with more polish and extremely impressive guitar work. Listen below.

Waiting A Lifetime is out in early 2017 via Cinematic Music Group.
