Austra are following up 2014’s Habitat EP next month with a new album called Future Politics. Lead single “Utopia” cracked our 5 Best Songs Of The Week list when it was released, and the LP’s title track is just as good, a burbling synthetic banger that comes along with a music video from Allie Avital. “Future Politics is the breaking down of paradigms,” Avital and Austra mastermind Katie Stelmanis write in a statement. “In this video, we wanted to explore what a world might look like if our values were transformed: instead of glorifying labor, maybe we could learn to glorify the act of doing absolutely nothing.” Watch below.
