Here’s Snoop Dogg, RZA, & Common From The Simpsons‘ Hip-Hop Great Gatsby Episode

A few months back, The Simpsons announced that they would be doing a hip-hop homage to The Great Gatsby. The cast of the two-part episode (which will air in one continuous hour) has taken shape, and Snoop Dogg, RZA, and Common will lend their voices in addition to a guest roster that includes Taraji P. Henson and Keegan-Michael Key, according to Entertainment Weekly.

“The Great Phatsby” will nod to F. Scott Fitzgerald’s Roaring ’20s novel and center on the friendship between Mr. Burns and a rap mogul by the name of Jay G. Dan Castellaneta will narrate as Homer Simpson, and the ep is set at Burns’ summer mansion in the Springfield Hamptons. Hopefully they won’t say “old sport” a bajillion times like Leo Dicaprio in the 2013 film adaption. Simpsons producer Dan Greaney had this to say about the episode: “We wanted the Mt. Rushmore of rap, and we got it. They represent different moods and different aspects of the history of hip-hop.” The episode is slated to air in January, and it is technically The Simpsons first hour-long installment because “Who Shot Mr. Burns?” was aired in two parts as the season 6 finale and season 7 premiere.
