La La Land has been touted as one of the best movies of the year, but after seeing it, Rostam Batmanglij wasn’t happy with the film’s exclusion of LGBTQ characters and its marginalization of people of color. The movie is a jazz-centric love story between Sebastian (Ryan Gosling) and Mia (Emma Stone), who are struggling in Hollywood.
