Beloved Brit-rock elder statesman Paul Weller has recorded a score for the new British movie Jawbone, a gritty drama about a youth boxing champion. It’s not an orchestral score; instead, Weller has recorded seven original songs for the movie. And now he’s shared the first of them: “The Ballad Of Jimmy McCabe,” a tender acoustic ballad that ends in a burst of urgent dialog from the movie. Check it out below.
