Wilsen – “Final”

Wilsen – “Final”

Wilsen’s long-awaited debut full-length, I Go Missing in My Sleep, will finally be out next month. Last week, the Tamsin Wilson-led trio shared the video for their spectacular single “Centipede.” Today we’re premiering another song from the LP, the softly devastating “Final.” Wilson barely cracks her voice above a murmur, delivering a narrative of loss with a balanced tone interrupted by peaceful whistling. “There is no reason and no rhyme/ For those we love and those we bid goodbye,” she sings as the music fades into a near-silence, her vocals seemingly pressed right up against your ear. “I wouldn’t dare try/ See I know not of life and even less of loss,” she sighs, but “Final” proves she understands more than she gives herself credit for. Listen below.

I Go Missing in My Sleep is out 4/28 on Secret City. Pre-order it here.
