Purling Hiss – “Sit Down”

Purling Hiss – “Sit Down”

The small label Dirty Pillows announced a series of 7″ records benefitting the ACLU. Since Dirty Pillows is based out of Philadelphia and Minneapolis, each side of the first 7″ features bands from those respective cities. The A-side reps Philly and features contributions from Sad13 and Purling Hiss; Sadie Dupuis contributed is a remix of Slugger’s “<2,” and Purling Hiss’ track is a new one called “Sit Down.” This is a roughly-hewn song about seeking solace on a dogged day, and its beauty lies in the layers upon layers of guitar and discordant field recordings and tape hiss.
