Bradley Cooper surprised fans at Glastonbury on Friday (June 23) by shooting scenes from his upcoming film A Star Is Born at the UK festival.

Cooper is directing and starring in the film alongside Lady Gaga. On Friday, he appeared onstage ahead of Kris Kristofferson’s set and performed for the crowd and cameras, albeit with his guitar volume turned off to the audience, as NME reports. He and Gaga filmed similar scenes at Coachella in April.

Before leaving the stage, Cooper thanked the audience: “You guys were awesome, that was great — it’s my sheer pleasure to introduce Kris Kristofferson.”

Kristofferson is no stranger to A Star Is Born, having himself starred in a 1976 version of the film alongside Barbra Streisand. Cooper’s version, which is scheduled to be released in 2018, is the fourth version of the film, following the 1937 original with Janet Gaynor and Fredric March and 1954’s version starring Judy Garland and James Mason.

As if that wasn’t enough star power, Cooper wasn’t the only actor to make an appearance during Kristofferson’s set. The country icon was also joined by Johnny Depp for “Sunday Morning Coming Down” and “The Silver Tongued Devil And I,” while Brad Pitt watched from the rafters. Kristofferson also duetted with Margo Price on “Me And Bobby McGee.”
