Melina Duterte, better known as Artist To Watch Jay Som, is about to embark on a summer tour in support of her fantastic debut album Everybody Works, and tonight, she took to Twitter to announce that she’s going to share a few “impulsive songs” before she heads out. The first, which she just uploaded to BandCamp under the name Melina Mae, is a shaggily psychedelic bedroom-pop gem called “Time Off Work,” and you can hear it below; I think it’s safe to say that Duterte’s so-called “impulsive songs” are better than most people’s regular songs.
