A.C. Newman’s second solo effort Get Guilty (1/20, Matador) has a pretty ugly cover, but will likely have some pretty, poppy songs. Before you slip too comfortably into that realm, though, the New Pornographers are offering up a video from their long-ago released Challengers. The clip stars comedians Kurt Braunohler and Kristen Schaal, who pilot a narrative that includes mislabeled boxes, a trigger happy guy in a bear suit, a unicorn, a knife, Penthouse and Borges.

I think I may have to go to the New Pornos show for New Years. I’ll be able to get home without dealing with the Times Square crowd so it should be worth it. I saw this video the other day, it was pretty great.
I would choose The New Pornographers over MMJ just about any day of the week, and I like MMJ!
But its kind of annoying how whenever you see the new pornographers they are sans Dan Bejar (destroyer). only on the albums i guess. not even the music videos.
i would’ve liked to see “Unguided” or “Adventures in Solitude” videos but this one is ok
