The Roots were at the Fillmore in Miami on Wednesday night when they decided to cover Weezy’s “A Milli,” with special guest Weezy. Lil Wayne’s obviously essential to making a The Carter III cut work ( take note, Korn dude), but this version is all about ?uestlove, instilling some swing to the beat while also holding it down on all the “a milli”s. Who needs Rahzel anyway.
