“Everyday Is Like Sunday” is one of Morrissey’s earliest and best-known solo singles. You can blame much of its popularity on its morose, image-filled lyrics: “Come Armageddon … Everyday is silent and grey … ‘how I dearly wish I was not here…’” Now the guy who inspired many to try vegetarianism has loaned the track to Four Paws’ Rabbits Out Of Cages campaign. “Everyday Is Like Sunday” was depressing before; listening to it while watching an animated rabbit’s eyes well up with tears is like a perfect sadness storm.
