Friendly Fires vs. Holy Ghost 7" Cover

Michael McDonald collaborating/Phoemixing DFA duo Holy Ghost! are trading covers with UK dance-punkers Friendly Fires on a forthcoming split 12″. Funny, that, since Friendly Fires’ “On Board” is already a stomping bass/clicked-and-quirked dance jammer in the DFA vein, leaving Holy Ghost! no choice but to dial down the DFA. Here’s the original:

The split 12″ is out via XL/DFA on 3/8 in physical and digital formats. Digital gets you a bonus track — check the listing:

This track was on a handful of blogs before Stereogum so how can they claim “Premiere”? Stereogum, I love you guys and perhaps you were mislead but it comes across as poor form.
