We heard Franz Ferdinand’s collaboration with Marion Cotillard a couple months back, and now it has the much-needed visuals to go with it. This Dior commercial (Cotillard is the new face of Lady Dior), has a Franz stand-in band, but Cotillard looks great singing about perfection in chaos. She’s got experience playing a singer, and a singer scorned. She sang in last year’s Nine, and won a best actress Oscar for her role as Edith Piaf in La Vie En Rose. Still, director Jonas Akerlund should have used Alex Kapranos in this commercial. He wouldn’t have been out of place — check his 10 stylish must-haves in GQ.

  1. Horribly CHEESY!!

  2. Apparently MADAM, you don’t know good music. I guess you hate intricate melodies and songs defined by two movements. Enjoy your Jonas Brothers and Cobra Starship.

  3. oh she is french, she can get a pass for not having the best musical taste
