Yves Saint Laurent reinterpreted ’70s Paris for their Fall/Winter 2010 show, with long, waist-length medallions, little capelets, and mid-calf skirts dotting the collection. So a new (sort of) song by LCD Soundsystem, who also performed at yesterday’s show, seems appropriate. According to DFA’s website, they performed a reinterpretation of a 1979 Peter Gordon & Love Of Life Orchestra. DFA’s prepping a retrospective of Gordon’s work, with a 12″ of the songs LCD covered, “Beginning of the Heartbreak” and “Don’t Don’t.” Unfortunately LCD don’t appear in the video, so it isn’t as satisfying as, say, Cat Power’s turn performing during Chanel’s Spring/Summer 2007 show.
