Our introduction to this one from the artist formerly known as Final Fantasy came via an incredible live clip that saw Pallett battle pelting rain and the possibility of electrocution at the Hillside Festival, the storm landing more furiously as “Lewis Takes Off His Shirt” entered its triumphant, spiraling exeunt. This June the track gets its just commemoration as a 12″ release featuring remixes by Max Tundra, CFCF, Simon Bookish, and Benoît Pioulard, though Dan Deacon’s spin will be tough to top: Pallett’s vocal is looped and its underlying symphonics stretched with propulsive live percussion in the vein of Deacon’s own Bromst.
