The vocals do, yeah. Very Cakey. And there are a few seconds in the chorus (the ahhh ahhhs) that hint at potential Killers-like superpop. Otherwise, thumbs dizzown.
This isn’t the worst thing I’ve ever heard…but it’s just such random drivel. I do like the ‘a-ha’s though.
Here’s hoping the phrase “underage horse-face” appears in the lyrics.

I agree with Andy. I missed this post the first time around and clicked on the link from the video post because I was curious that Stereogum readers would actually be split on a GC song. I’ve never seen so many typographical errors and general teengirlsquadness in a Stereogum comments section, so all those raves above have just got to be cringingly accurate parody.
