Saying Family Guy is the best is worse than that time I tried dialing a phone with my penis.

Family Guy IS the best.
Duh.
Do you guys remember that episode of the Family Guy where they referenced something but didn’t really make a joke about it and then everyone I knew who liked Family Guy went “Hey, I totally get that reference” and then I asked “but what was the joke?” and then everyone’s head exploded?
Yeah, carson, it was worse than the time that Celebrity A and Historical Figure B did something together that they totally shouldn’t have.
In case you haven’t seen it, the (brilliant) one with Ricky Gervais is season 17, episode 15 – Homer Simpson, This Is Your Wife. There’s a song in there, so it’s still a music-related post.
“You use a lot of words to say nothing”
The reason why the Ricky Gervais episode is so good is simple, because Ricky Gervais wrote it. The Simpsons peaked at least 8 years ago.
Family Guy is better than the Simpsons is now, but Family Guy will never be as good as the Simpsons was in its prime.
Wow, an internet discussion about how The Simpsons hasn’t been good for 10 years…did I just step into Aint It Cool News?
But seriously, Family Guy isn’t better than anything except maybe American Dad. I still prefer bad Simpsons to good Family Guy.
And Ricky Gervais co-wrote the story to that episode from what I understand, which probably means very few of his ideas made it to the screen.
Yeah, the Simpsons is always written by a team of writers, they just credit one or two.
I like the show, but who’ll still be watching and enjoying The Family Guy 18 years from now? That would be nobody.
