On the strength of their Innerspeaker LP and their shared taste in hairstyles, Australian psych-pop quartet Tame Impala are on tour in support of MGMT later this month. Our post about the drifting, spacious “Runway, Houses, City, Clouds” included a number of drug references. Initially the protagonist of this Megafore-directed video for “Solitude Is Bliss” seems to be more of an adrenaline junkie — once he starts dancing the apocalypse away, getting bedazzled by confetti/tickertape, and punching dogs, it seems safe to stick with allusions to the (slightly) harder stuff.

Innerspeaker is out 5/21 in Australia and 6/8 internationally via Modular. They’re in the States in May/June to support MGMT.
