I started my post on Eyes & Nines’ “Explode” by stating the obvious: “Trash Talk’s live show is a force, especially compelling in small spaces where their creatively violent (in a joyful way) fans have just enough space to extend their arms and toss mic stands, shoes, other fans.” (I went on to cite, in particular, their Death Metal Pizza set at SXSW.) That in mind, the guys took the smart approach toward this kinetic documentary-style video: The band in their van (which smokes on occasion), hanging out between shows (smoking-up on occasion), and destroying stages/non-stages across the country (continue smoke theme). No need for high-concept when you uncork that energy.
