Klaxons - "Flashover"

Klaxons’ second album, following 2007′s much-ballyhooed Myths Of The Near Future, is tentatively titled Surfing The Void. It was produced by Korn/Slipknot/Limp Bizkit/Sepultura/Machine Head/At the Drive-In/Blood Brothers tweaker Ross Robinson who, via Twitter, said to expect some “very violent” and “melodic.” The first bit of feedback to emerge from the heavier sessions is “Flashover.” Bang your head?

Sounds like they paid attention to Humbug. No word on exactly when Surfing The Void’s out, but there are some scheduled live shows:

05/26 – Southend, England @ Chinnerys
05/27 – Colchester, England @ Colchester Arts Centre
06/02 – Plymouth, England @ White Rabbit
06/03 – Gloucester, England @ Guildhall
06/15 – Paris, France @ Nouveau Casino
07/13 – Glasgow, Scotland @ King Tuts
07/14 – Manchester, England @ Ruby Lounge
07/27 – London, England @ Village Underground

  1. Ugh, what the hell is this? Doesn’t sound like my Klaxons.

  2. Indeed what the hell…? Are they going for some progressive rock sort of style now?

  3. Did the bass player from Korn also join the band? Yikes.

  4. Just an absolutely awful track.

  5. I wouldn’t be completely against hearing Klaxons on the radio (which is what this track seems to be aiming for), you know, rather than Chevelle and Nickelback.

  6. Klaxons got paralysed via Chillwave.

    hohoho I hate parties.

  7. first 37 seconds are gr8. they are just trying to get in the Witch ▲▲▲Haus▲▲▲, let them live. Much better turn of events than Foals turn Colplay.
