  1. The Bravery’s “Ours” is the best thing on this soundtrack. Much better than “Love is Forever”, at least!

  2. I’m going to have to clear my browser history after I listen to this just so that no one at work knows I went to the Eclipse website.

  3. This soundtrack is really, really good and dare I say, edgy!?

The Unkle, Beck/Bat For Lashes & Band of Horses tracks are some of my favorites that I’ve heard anywhere this year. I guess it’s the norm for people to complain and debate about these bands *selling out* by being a part of this franchise but I am in love with this soundtrack and will enjoy it.

  4. The New Moon soundtrack was great. Everyone should go to PItchfork’s facebook page and follow the shit storm in the comments to their post on this . People are basically fist fighting in the comments trying to decide if they are allowed to like these bands anymore. LOL! Its like the Boxxy war on 4 chan.

  5. Ah, I see. This whole Twilight franchise was a front to trick angsty teenagers into liking better music. I can get behind that.

  6. I’m a little disappointed so far. I love most of the bands on this soundtrack, but a lot of these songs sound like b-sides to me. I know that they are technically b-sides, but they sound as if they were recorded with the intention of never being heard by their fan bases. The Beck song only began to get interesting around the three-minute mark but most of it sounded like someone singing in the shower. The Vampire Weekend song is growing on me, but it still doesn’t compare to anything on Contra. I have no problem with the fact that these songs are associated with the Twilight franchise, but I expected more out of the songs themselves. Not hatin’, just sayin’.

  7. I dislike how they’re putting this music into a shitty movie, but “Rolling in on a Burning Tire” is GREAT.

  8. I’m going to pretend that the word Twilight isn’t on this page.
But the soundtrack isn’t that bad. Maybe the same girls who are obsessing over Edward Cullen (a poor stalkerish, abusive, controlling, sexist excuse for a man/character who is the exact opposite of “perfection”. And Cedric Diggory is so much better and my comment inside of these parentheses are really useless) will gain good choice in music?
Never a bad time to spread good music. The world needs it more than anything.
