Over the Holidays we filled you in on Rage Against The Machine’s part in the UK’s 2009 Christmas #1 race. To recount: Christmas #1 is an annual tradition, which involves placing bets re: who’ll win. In recent years the winners are usually the folks who top Simon Cowell’s X Factor (American Idol UK, more or less), but this time around, folks ended up voting more for Rage Against The Machine’s 1992 tune “Killing In The Name” than Joe McElderry’s monthly flavored “The Climb” after a Facebook group called Rage Against The X Factor got folks up in arms about having crappy Christmas #1 songs. Summer’s starting and RATM performed a victory set this past Sunday (6/6) at London’s Finsbury Park. They were joined by Gallows, Roots Manuva, and Gogol Bordello. We have video of the start of Rage’s set, along with a couple other clips. Beer gets spilled.
