We introduced you to Adult Swim’s 8 Singles In 8 Weeks project via Matt Sweeney and Bonnie “Prince” Billy’s cover of Gene Watson’s “Love In The Hot Afternoon.” For week four Swim’s offering a new Washed Out track featuring Chairlift’s Caroline Polachek. I hate the term “chillwave” (because it gives me different sorts of chills), but the words “chill” and “wave” fit the mesmerizing whirling feeling Ernest Greene continually conjures. Even with the extra voice and the “You And I” of the title, this also still sounds pretty damn lonely.
