“Wasted Daylight” is less whispering than first single “Fixed,” though when it’s Stars, that doesn’t mean much, since many of their songs are breathy confessionals. But here Amy Millan records a more positive experience, the act of laying in bed all day with the shades drawn. Someone’s in the bed with her, so it’s new romance flush, not, say, crippling depression, that’s keeping her in bed.
