Last week I posted Delorean’s sunny remix of Cold Cave‘s amply tweaked “Life Magazine,” mentioning it was the first remake to arrive without a photo of Max G. Morton. Today we get the final Morton-packing tweak via Cold Cave member Dominick Fernow, aka Hospital Productions/Ash Pool/Prurient. As you might expect, he blows it up, but more via the frozen trance waves he used to create Pleasure Ground‘s brilliant “Apple Tree Victim,” less the all-out post-Whitehouse explosions of his earliest work.
The “Life Magazine” Remix EP is out via Matador. It includes those remakes by Arthur Baker, Optimo, Pantha Du Prince, and Prurient. As mentioned, Delorean’s take isn’t on it. Max:
