When it comes to corporate entities underwriting indie rock in 2010, it seems like it’s mostly KIN with a side of Kia. The former’s various initiatives included a heavily branded open bar show for the Black Keys, the latter has roped in their “Black” monikered kin the Black Lips, with this new tossed-off jammy “Before  You Judge Me” (yes, “take a look at yourself” completes the hook lyric). It’s #5 in Adult Swim’s Kia-sanctioned 8-week singles series, which has brought us some memorable tracks with a Superwolf reboot and a fantastic, Madonna-teasing Washed Out single with Caroline from Chairlift.
