Over the past year, the Roots have stretched mightily on Late Night, home of TV’s most adventurous music programming. It was hardly a surprise to learn folky folks like MMJ, Joanna Newsom, and (especially) the gals from Dirty Projectors would cameo on the hip-hop crew’s “positive”-minded How I Got Over. It’s out officially on Tuesday, but you can hear the whole thing at MySpace now. Start with the “Book Of Right On”-sampling track 9 because duh.
Yim Yames joins the Roots (and an orchestra) for “Dear God 2.0″ on tonight’s show. We’ll post the video Monday in case you’re not in front of the TV for some reason tonight.
