This unreleased backstage version of “Bull Black Nova” comes from the same La Blogothèque session where Wilco did “Country Disappeared” back in February. It was filmed by Derrick Belcham, who does a good job of capturing all of the band while maintaining the intimacy (the band, however, aren’t big on eye contact with the camera).

Foo Fighters, Kings Of Leon Battle For Best Rock Album Grammy
Instead, it's the Foo Fighters, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Kings of Leon, Wilco and Jeff Beck who will duke it out for the golden gramophone — and really, each of them has a pretty-realistic shot at winning. They've all got Grammy trophies at home (KOL even ...
Wilco, on a roll, plays Paramount Tuesday
For nearly a century, Popeye the Sailor Man's main rival for the affections of Olive Oyl has been brutal Bluto. But now poor Popeye has to worry about a more lyrical adversary: Wilco frontman Jeff Tweedy. On Jan. 25, King Features released the ...

  1. “Bull Black Nova”?

  2. Yeah, great work SG. You’d that with all that ad revenue pouring in, you could correctly label year-old songs from huge bands. Shit, man–the words are IN THE SONG.

    • Thank God you’re here to berate people for making minor mistakes! The internet is in dire need of someone to do that.

      Keep up the good work!

  3. Today, Stereogum is an enormous Colgate ad. And they still have the title wrong of the song they posted from a huge band. Seriously, friend, it isn’t about me.

    • What does an ad have to do with anything?

They transposed two words. Big deal. In your original comment you apparently left out the word “think.” Clearly, a case of the pot calling the kettle (bull) black.

      • Yeah, except HE’S NOT WRITING FOR A MAJOR WEBSITE. Minor mistake? If this went to print for a widely distributed magazine, and I were your editor, that’d be your ass. It’s called accountability, and you’re right, the internet needs a hell of a lot more of it. Take a little pride for fuck’s sake.

  4. Nah, I wouldn’t fire someone over it. I would get mad and yell a lot tho.. but not because of the severity of the mistake (which is, as you’d said, extremely minor), but mainly because I like to a. get mad b. yell a lot c. generally act like a spoiled jackass and d. thrive in situations where the egos are very big and the stakes are very small.. which, in my estimation, are the main criteria for being a print news editor. It’s a good article, I was just feeling provocative, because hey, it’s the intardnet.

    • Would you be chomping on a big cigar at the same time and saying stuff like “I’ll make sure you never work in this town again!”?

      • I do that in my “Fantasy Record Industry Exec League” in my head. In my “Fantasy Newspaper Editor League” in my head I definitely chew on an old-timey tobacco pipe and yell “YOU CALL THIS NEWS!?! YOU CALL THIS A CROSSWORD PUZZLE!?!? YOU’RE OFF THE BEAT!!!!”

  5. No one made any mistakes guys… the song is called “Bull Black Nova”… check the disc.
