Dallas mutant jazz crew Added Pizzazz did the honors on Before Today‘s sax-y “Hot Body Rub.” As we mentioned when posting “In The Heat Of The Night,” they teamed with Ariel Pink for the five-song Ariel Pink With Added Jazz: One of its tracks is an extended take on the aforementioned Before Today opener. The EP’s out now via the Amphetamine Reptile-referencing label Free Dope And Fucking In The Streets (way to keep it positive guys). Luxuriate in a longer “Hot Body Rub” while you admire the record’s back cover.

Whoever uploaded this song didn’t transfer it the right way. No one else has noticed that there’s turntable line noise on this song? I bought my copy at the L.A. show and the sound on this version that’s posted here is just not right. I really wish I had a copy of this! I heard a few tracks on the radio in LA and fell in love with it. Really great work Ariel. Very different from Before Today. But is that not what Art strives for? Lovely!!!!!
