Amanda Palmer Album Art

Dresden Dolls’s Amanda Palmer parted ways with Roadrunner Records a couple months back. She’s releasing music however she wants now. Her newest project is a series of Radiohead covers from Kid A and earlier. It’s called Amanda Palmer Performs The Popular Hits Of Radiohead On Her Magical Ukulele, and the title says it all, really. Some of the covers include a little piano or other additional percussion, but it’s mostly just Palmer and her ukulele, and (at least one time) a bad hangover — one of the songs is titled, “Creep (Hungover at Soundcheck in Berlin).” Have a listen to the entire EP:

  1. Boring white person covers other boring white people.

  2. It’s actually good.

  3. High and Dry tranfers well into ukulele.

  4. It is completely embarrassing that we even tolerate the release of such gimmickry. Seriously, have a critical eye, America!

  5. Grow up you lot. Amanda Palmer is a rare and outstanding talent and whilst quirky this EP is properly good. I heard her do Creep on the Ukele at SXSW last year and it was easily the highlight of the week
