Inlets – “In Which I, Robert” Video (Stereogum Premiere)

The third track from BTW Inlets’ excellent Inter Arbiter has a new, ambitious video. It uses animation (stop motion, computer), to make it seem like Inlets main man Sebastian Krueger has a whole universe inside a box. His last video for “Bright Orange Air” used pointillist techniques, this one has Piet Mondrian paintings on the wall of one of the rectangular rooms. The references don’t seem like coincidences, especially when Krueger plans the other things (harmonies, instrumentation) so well. The video was produced by //kneeon.

Inter Arbiter is out now via Two Syllable.
