Hot Chip have a remix EP on the way, to be released a little before their next series of dates opening for LCD Soundsystem (including a show at Hollywood Bowl with both LCD and Sleigh Bells). Caribou’s Dan Snaith does this brooding, brainy remix of “Brothers,” isolating singer Alexis Taylor’s delicate vocal, sampling and repeating it over until it sounds ghostly and metallic. He works out a few different ideas here, and lets that vocal sample tie it all together. Have a listen:
